Our company aims to continue carrying out disaster relief initiatives in collaboration with our local communities, non-profit organizations and more. We strive to help prevent disasters and reduce damages in times of emergency.

■Relief activity for the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake

Donation of sharing cars, maintenance support, employee fundraising, over-the-counter fundraising

As part of relief activities for the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, we transported four vehicles to Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, and these were donated to Japan Car Sharing Association, to provide free rental services to those affected by the disaster, and maintenance service to the rental cars. In addition, the Company added a certain amount to the donations collected from AUTOBACS SEVEN employees at all locations and donated it as a matching gift to the Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan), a non-profit organization that was engaged in emergency relief activities in the affected areas. AUTOBACS stores have been collecting donations and donated the collected funds to the Japanese Red Cross Society as a relief donation.

Donated a total of ¥180,500,000 in matching gifts to employee fundraising

 

In addition to the donations from AUTOBACS SEVEN employees and its subsidiaries Chain Growth, AUTOBACS Management Service, AUTOBACS Financial Service, and AUTOBACS Digital Initiative, AUTOBACS SEVEN has added a certain amount to the donations, for a total of 1,805,000 yen, which will be donated as a matching gift to the Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan), a non-profit organization that is providing emergency relief in the disaster-stricken areas. 

 

Donations were made at all stores, totaling \946,702

 

The donation drive conducted at AUTOBACS stores nationwide raised \946,702 with the support of many customers. The collected donations were donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society. 

■Began periodic car donation to the Japan Car Sharing Association

We have decided to donate vehicles to the Japan Car Sharing Association every year from FY2024 to FY2030, not in the event of a disaster, but in peacetime, as "disaster support using vehicles," and on Monday, June 19, 2024, we donated 10 subcompact cars.
The purpose of this donation is to promote the donation of vehicles in normal times, before typhoons, torrential rains, and other disasters occur frequently, so that in the event of a disaster, the vehicles can be delivered promptly to the affected areas.

As part of relief activities for heavy rain disasters in July and August 2022, we transported four vehicles to Shibata City, Nigata Prefecture, and these were donated to Japan Car Sharing Association, to provide free rental services to those affected by the disaster, and maintenance service to the rental cars. In addition, the Company added a certain amount to the donations collected from AUTOBACS SEVEN employees at all locations and donated it as a matching gift to the Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan), a non-profit organization that was engaged in emergency relief activities in the affected areas. ■Relief activity for heavy rain disasters in August 2021

Donation of sharing cars, transportation support, employee fundraising, over-the-counter fundraising

As part of relief activities for heavy rain disasters in August 2021, we donated five vehicles to Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, and transported eight vehicles to Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, to provide free rental services to those affected by the disaster until the end of November 2021, in cooperation with the Japan Car Sharing Association. In addition, the Company added a certain amount to the donations collected from AUTOBACS SEVEN employees at all locations and donated it as a matching gift to the Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan), a non-profit organization that was engaged in emergency relief activities in the affected areas. AUTOBACS stores have been collecting donations and donated the collected funds to the Japanese Red Cross Society as a relief donation.

■Relief activities for heavy rain disasters in July 2020

Support for transporting sharing cars, employee fundraising, over-the-counter fundraising

In cooperation with the Japan Car Sharing Association, we transported 29 vehicles to Saga Prefecture and Kumamoto Prefecture and lent them free of charge to disaster victims, who also received vehicle maintenance.
In addition, the Company added a certain amount to the donations collected from AUTOBACS SEVEN employees at all locations and donated it as a matching gift to the Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan), a non-profit organization that was engaged in emergency relief activities in the affected areas.

■Relief activities for victims of Typhoon Faxai and Hagibis

Donating 992,742 yen with matching gifts to employee fundraising

Employees of AUTOBACS SEVEN and AUTOBACS Management Service Ltd., OB and OG of AUTOBACS SEVEN donated approximately 500,000 yen. The company added a certain amount to the donations and donated a total of 992,742 yen as a matching gift to the NGO AAR Japan, which is conducting emergency relief activities in the disaster-stricken areas.

■ Relief activities for the heavy rain in August 2019

Support for transporting sharing cars, employee fundraising, and over-the-counter fundraising

In cooperation with Japan Car Sharing Association, 18 vehicles were transported to Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, and the vehicles were lent out free of charge to those affected.
In addition, a certain amount was added to the donation collected from AUTOBACS SEVEN employees at all bases, and was donated to AAR Japan, which is conducting emergency relief activities in the disaster-stricken areas.

Donated 1 million yen in matching gift support for employees fundraising

Employees of AUTOBACS SEVEN donated approximately 500,000 yen. The company added a certain amount to the donations and donated a total of 1 million  yen as a matching gift to the NGO AAR Japan, which is conducting emergency relief activities in the disaster-stricken areas.

■Relief activities for the heavy rain disaster in northern Kyushu in July 2017

Supported transportation of vehicles with Japan Car Sharing Association 

In collaboration with the Japan Car Sharing Association, we provided support by transporting eleven cars to the northern part of Kyushu. We also assisted in repairing cars in the affected areas.

■Relief Activities for the Kumamoto Earthquake in 2016

Donated small trucks to the Japan Car Sharing Association

Immediately after the Kumamoto Earthquake, in collaboration with the Japan Car Sharing Association who provide car sharing services with local disaster victims and organizations, we engaged in relief activities to help those affected. We donated vehicles that were used for the removal of debris at the volunteer center in Kumamoto Prefecture and Oita Prefecture. They also helped to move victims from the shelter to different locations and was useful for the recovery support activities.

Donated 1 million yen in matching gift support for employee fundraising

Employees of AUTOBACS SEVEN, AUTOBACS Management Service Ltd., and UA Zensen All AUTOBACS SEVEN Union donated. The company added a certain amount to the donations and donated a total of 1 million yen as a matching gift to the NGO AAR Japan, which is conducting emergency relief activities in the disaster-stricken areas.

Donations for relief efforts made at all store locations

The amount of 2,778,719 yen was donated at AUTOBACS stores throughout Japan with the support of our many customers. The collected funds were donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
